I am someone who suffers from chronic pain, and I have crippling anxiety when going in for gynecological appointments/examinations. After my visit with Dr Cockrum, I felt that I simply had to take the time to write about a very positive experience that I had with him. In the past decade, I have seen many physicians for multiple health conditions in the Chicago area, and unfortunately a lot of times my experience has been unpleasant, and I was expecting to see something similar this time as well. From the get go, Dr Cockrum was kind, compassionate, and immensely caring. He patiently heard everything that I had to say, and then explained everything he needed to do in great detail. He went above and beyond. He suggested several things that I could explore to get relief from pain. He is extremely thorough, and very reassuring. Just talking to him, I started to feel positive, and I felt that 50% of my pain was gone. I finally felt that things were going to be okay for me, and I felt a load lifting off of me. That is the hallmark of a good doctor!! One who leaves such an impact on his patients. At no point did I feel like I was being rushed because he had to go see other patients. At no point did I feel that my symptoms were being minimized or dismissed. He gave me his full attention while I was there, he was welcome to however many questions I had, and even left me saying that if I had more questions I could always write to him on Connect.Dr Cockrum, we are indeed fortunate to have a good doctor like you to take care of us. Please do not ever change. You are a blessing to your patients!
